Our Story
Bayto Pools, or Piscines Bayto, is more than a pool company. It’s a family story built on craftsmanship, innovation, and the belief that every backyard can become something extraordinary.
For over 40 years, the St-Jean family has been at the heart of the pool industry in Canada and the northern United States. It all began with Father Gaétan St-Jean at the age of 13, whose skill, dedication, and hands-on approach inspired a generation. Together with his sons, Dave and Carl, the family mastered every aspect of pool creation, from inground vinyl and gunite pools to complete landscaping and hardscaping projects. Their work didn’t just build pools; it built trust, relationships, and dreams that lasted a lifetime.
But Dave and Carl always had a vision to take things further. After decades of experience in traditional pool construction, they began to ask a bold question: What if there was a better way to build concrete pools?
That question led to four years of testing, sleepless nights, and countless prototypes, all driven by a desire to simplify the process without sacrificing quality or beauty. Then, in 2024, the brothers achieved what they’d been working toward: the first successful pour of their innovative pre-cast concrete plunge pool. It was a defining moment, the birth of Bayto Pools as we know it today.
Now, in 2025, Bayto Pools is expanding rapidly with over 40 trusted dealers and installers and growing into the southern U.S. market. What began as a family business has become a movement, transforming the way concrete pools are designed, built, and enjoyed.
